On 6 February, the Minister of Industry and Energy of Equatorial Guinea, Mr. Miguel EKUA ONDO, accompanied by a ministerial commission visited the construction site of Sendje HPP to review the progress of works.
During the visit, the delegation of the Ministry of Industry and Energy reviewed the progress of construction and installation works, visited the powerhouse, warehouse premises, inspected the workshops and equipment storage area, and also testified the amount of work completed according to the approved schedule. Representatives of DUGLAS ALLIANCE LTD. for their part informed the commission about the results of the work performed to date and the obstacles encountered during their performance. During the working meeting, the parties also discussed the planned stages of construction and the resources required for the timely completion of the project.
In an interview with the press, Mr. Minister focused on the fact that DUGLAS ALLIANCE LTD. is deploying construction at a high pace and expressed satisfaction with the progress of construction. Mr. Miguel EKUA ONDO underlined that the support from the Government is extremely important for the successful implementation of the project by the company and assured that the State is ready to provide all possible assistance.
At the end of his working visit, the Minister of Industry and Energy thanked the company DUGLAS ALLIANCE LTD. for carrying out a large amount of work that the company managed to perform in a relatively short period of time since the project was resumed. Mr. Miguel EKUA ONDO also drew attention to the strategic importance of Sendje HPP project for Equatorial Guinea.
