A government delegation led by the Prime Minister of Equatorial Guinea visited the Sendje HPP with a working visit

On 10 December, the Prime Minister of Equatorial Guinea, Mr. Obama Asue, accompanied by the Vice-Minister of Industry and Energy, Mr. José Maria Ondo Oyono, Governor of the Province of Litoral,  Mr.Bartolome Ovono Nze, Delegate of the Government of Mbini District, Mr. Cristobal Ambrosio Nze Nfumu, visited the construction site of HPP “Sendje” with a working visit.

The government delegation reviewed the progress of construction works and detailed information on the results achieved in the last six months of the project. The Prime Minister, responsible for administrative coordination, in his speech stressed the importance of using quality materials for the construction of the hydropower plant, and also assured that the Government of the country is making every effort to ensure the unhampered delivery of materials intended for the project within the shortest possible time.

During the visit, Mr. Obama Asue inspected all construction structures and personally testified that the erection and construction works are carried out according to the approved schedule. The Prime Minister also expressed his confidence that the planned project implementation dates will be achieved only through joint efforts and mutual understanding between all the parties involved.

Representatives of DUGLAS ALLIANCE LTD., for their part, acquainted the Government delegation with the plans for construction mobilization and assured that the company is doing everything possible to ensure that the implementation of the Sendje HPP project is successfully completed within the planned time frame. The company understands the importance of this project for the growth of welfare of Equatorial Guinea, and also supports the Government in the implementation of the country’s electrification plan.
