Minister of Mines, Industry and Energy of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea visited the construction site of the HPP Sendje

On May 28, 2015 the Minister of Mines, Industry and Energy of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, Gabriel Mbaga Obiang Lima, visited the construction site of the HPP Sendje located in the continental part of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea on the river Wele in order to examine the work progress. The representatives of Duglas Alliance Ltd. presented the process workflows of this construction stage, informed on the amount of the work completed and discussed with the Minister the working issues that originate in the process of hydropower plant construction. The Minister and his accompanying persons inspected the construction area and reviewed the detailed design drawings and plans for the nearest time. 

Following the result of the visit, Mr. Gabriel Mbaga Obiang Lima, the Minister of Mines, Energy and Industry mentioned that the construction of HPP was developing according to the approved construction schedule and emphasized on the importance of the HPP Sendje as one of the most perspective and strategic state object. He also underlined that the commissioning of the plant will allow the government of Equatorial Guinea to implement the Industrialization plan for the country and export electricity to the neighboring countries within the integrated power system. Considering the importance of the object the Minister invited all state bodies involved to some extent in the project implementation to provide assistance to the company Duglas Alliance Ltd. in all work matters. Mr. Gabriel Mbaga Obiang Lima gave his high appreciation of all the efforts aimed to implementation of such large-scale project made by Duglas Alliance Ltd. and promised to follow this project with special attention.
